G for Good

Rather a good night for Craigiehill yesterday, with back-to-back wins on Rink G.

First up were Simon, Stewart, Ronnie and Caroline in the Reid Trophy up against Heart of the Highlands. It was nip-and-tuck on some very heavy and swingy ice. Until the last end where we racked up a massive 6 to close the game out at 12-6.

A quick turn around had Stewart, Ronnie, Margaret and Jack taking on 3rd placed Rossie in the Carse League. Same sheet advantage didn’t seem to be making any difference and we slipped to 6-1 down after 4 ends. However, that’s when our bouncebackability kicked in and we hit the front in end 7, finishing off with another last end 6 for a final score of 14-7. This win means we leapfrog Rossie in the standings and with Dunning also losing we could – just could – be top this morning.

So all to play for in our final Carse match on 4 March where we face Glendoick.
