Craigiehill win the Wengen Centenary Trophy!
This year we celebrate our centenary with three other clubs: Monifeith, Bearsden and Wengen. As part of a year of events we took part in a four-cornered bonspiel at the Perth Ice Rink. Two teams from each club took part with the combined score from both rinks used to decide the winner.
At the end of the four fairly high scoring matches, Craigiehill came out on top by just one shot.
All players then partook of a fine high tea, prior to the presentation of the specially commissioned quaich.
Following a very friendly, yet suitably competitive competition all clubs committed to keeping the competition alive in the future. A fine afternoon’s curling with some new friends, and a hearty thanks to the Wengen club for all their hard work in organising the whole event.
